The 5th edition of Amsterdam Denim Days kicks off later this week and it is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet!
Once a year, the city of Amsterdam looks much like the set of a Smurfs live-action movie. Everywhere you look there are guys and gals top-to-toe in blue, donning the denim tux. They make their way through the 9-Streets and congregate at the Westergasfabriek, a huge cultural and events space just a skip and a jump from the famous old city centre.
This can only mean one thing. Amsterdam Denim Days!
Celebrating denim
This annual event is a chance for the denim industry to engage with the consumer. It celebrates denim’s ability to bring together folks from all walks of life. Brands, press, buyers and other industry professionals will join a community of indigo addicts and fanatics to celebrate this remarkable fabric.
All you can eat and more!
There’s a great deal to see and do over the two days of the festival. Up at the Westergasfabriek in the Gashouder you will find the likes of Advance Denim, Amsterdenim, BLUE DAZE by Summum, Atelier Reservé, Alfredo Gonzales X Textielfabrique, Bossa, Chikiri, Concrete Matter, DENHAM the Jeanmaker, Denim City, Denim Privé, Indi Kids, Kings of Indigo, NDL, Naveena Denim Mills, Nudie Jeans Co., Orta Anadolu, Planq, Red Wing Amsterdam, Shin Denim by Japan Blue Co., Snake and Dagger, Soorty, Tenue de Nîmes and The Vintage Showroom Ltd.
Even the Swiss Jeans Freak, Ruedi Karrer, will be there showing off his Vintage Expo!
The Denim Dons
Talks from the Dons of the Denim industry will take place over the two days including Amy Leverton, Jason Denham, Tony Tonnaer from King of Indigo and many more!

Down in the heart of Amsterdam, stores and café’s are opening their doors as part of the festival. Stroll from the tranquillity of the denim mecca Tenue de Nîmes to the packed shelves of MOOD Vintage, stopping by Ferilli’s Caffè to recharge your batteries before moving onto one or more the 20 venues taking part in the Denim Days.
When and Where
The festival is on from the 27 – 28 of October 2018 at the Gashouder, Westergasfabriek as well as the venues in the city centre. The opening hours are Saturday 11:00 – 20:00, Sunday 11:00 – 18:00 As always, the Rope Dye team will be there to bring you the inside scoop along with the very best of “Street Style, Denim Style.
