A look at the inspiration and style of the denim elite in Amsterdam.
In this two part story, we share a few choice shots captured on the streets of Amsterdam.
Visitors to the King Pins Show and Blue Print festival pulled out all the stops to bring us some amazing examples of how denim can be styled to suit literally everyone. We salute our brothers and sisters in blue, and we can’t wait till next year to see what inspiration you will bring us!
He Stole My Jacket!
It was awesome to see this dude again! Shunji Ohashi was the designer over at those crazy cats at KAPITAL before moving to Amsterdam a couple of years ago. Notice the change of jacket, it was not long before he’d borrowed mine and was happy on his (imaginary) hog, tearing down the highway! I got it back eventually…
Master Tailor
Paul Kruize, of Paul Kruize Jeans custom makes some damn fine garments. He is seen here dressed head to toe in his own work. That’s right; the jacket, jeans, shirt and even the bag were crafted by Paul himself in his workshop in the Netherlands.
Meeting These Guys in Person
A week or so back, we featured Blackhorse Lane Ateliers in an in depth brand profile. All too often with these things however, the conversations take place over the phone. So I was delighted that I could meet Han and David in person.
Taking to the stores and streets
In part two of Street Styled, Denim Style we take a look behind the scenes of a shoot from the famous Instagrammer Selvedge1, see the skills of the designers at Kings of Indigo and head into town for the Tenue de Nimes x Levi’s Vintage Clothing party. Stay tuned!
