We take a look at the new Self Edge Lookbook
We all know Self Edge as purveyors of some of the finest denim the world has to offer. But with the opening of their Mexico branch a couple of years ago, the climate and lifestyle demanded an altogether different offering.
With the release of their Summer 2017 lookbook, Self Edge beautifully demonstrates the Mexican location’s aesthetic and ethos through the story of the La Playita boys. The lookbook itself, of course, showcases the collection that is available across the store estate as well as theSelf Edge online offer.
Back to Mexico. A little over two years ago, a Category-5 hurricane hit the region leaving havoc and destruction in its wake. The tenacious inhabitants quickly rebuilt and the area is thriving.
The lookbook is shot against that backdrop together with the sandy beaches of San Jose del Cabo and the remains of the rebuilding which took place at that time.
Better still, if you happen to be visiting Self Edge Mexico, the village of La Playita where the shoot took place, is a few short minutes away from the store. Perfect to unwind after a shopping trip!
What is more, even though the local currency, the Peso, has recovered a little after suffering a battering at the hands of the new US administration, your Euro or Dollar could go a lot further than you think!
